A funny thought occured to me the other day as I was sitting eating lunch. I think it's a fairly safe assumption that if Americans know anything about Korean food, it's that they eat a lot of Kimchi. For those that may not be aware, Kimchi is probably the most often eaten Korean food around. The traditional variety basically tastes a bit like pickled cabbage spiced up with plenty of Korean red pepper. It can take a bit of getting used to for a foreigner, but it's damn good in my book. The Koreans usually have it with plenty of other side dishes and munch on it every so often during any meal, whether it's b-fast, lunch or dinner. It can make for an interesting subway ride with all that on folks breath in the early morning....

But, back to my funny thought. I was sitting eating lunch the other day munching on a little kimchi with my lunch when I had to just start chuckling. Remember that scene in Forest Gump, with Bubba babbling about shrimp? Everybody knows it. Shrimp gumbo, shrimp cabbob......well, there may be just as many varieties of kimchi......
*in my best Bubba voice*......ahem......thars so many ways to eat kimchi. Thare be cabbage kimchi, potatoe kimchi, winter kimchi, soup kimchi, radish kimchi, sprouts kimchi, bean kimchi.....and I know I must be fergettin sumpin.....ah well....that's enough for now.

Anyhow.....even if you're not laughing, I thought it was funny at the time.......It's all about my own amusement anyhow....
